Vietnam is GMT+7. The office is staffed 08:30 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday. Outside those hours the same number is answered for guests who are currently travelling with us, so if you are on a trip, call it at any time.

Visitors are welcome, but message first — the office is small and often empty because everybody is on a trip.
What to put in a first message
You will get a faster and far more useful reply if the first message contains these five things. Anything missing turns into a round trip of questions.
- Which trip, or which places you want to see if you are not sure yet.
- Your dates, or the month if the dates are flexible.
- How many of you, and whether anyone is under sixteen or over seventy.
- Whether you want the film package, or want to know what it costs first.
- Anything that changes the plan: motion sickness, dietary needs, someone who does not want to be filmed, a knee that does not do steps.
An itinerary with the days written out, a total price with the film package priced separately, and what is not included. Not a brochure and not a link to a booking engine.
If you are already travelling with us
The sales line and the on-trip line are the same number, and outside office hours it is answered only for guests who are currently on a trip. If something goes wrong on the road — a delayed transfer, a room that is not what was described, a rider who no longer wants to ride — call it, at any hour, and expect a person rather than a queue.
Your guide's mobile number is in the final pack you receive seven days before departure, and the guide is the faster route for anything happening in the next hour. The office number is for things the guide cannot fix: a booking change, a payment problem, or a decision about whether the trip continues.
If you are unhappy with something and it can still be fixed, say so on the day rather than in a review afterwards. Almost everything that goes wrong on a trip is fixable within a few hours while you are still there, and almost nothing is fixable a week later.
What we cannot help with
- Flights, visas and visa letters. We are not a general travel agency and we do not book them.
- Trips outside northern Vietnam. If you want Hue, Hoi An or the Mekong we will tell you who does them well, but we will not run them.
- Standalone filming without one of our trips. The film package only exists attached to a trip we operate.
- Travel insurance. It is compulsory on all three trips and we check it, but we are not licensed to sell it to you.
Ask to speak to a past traveller
Say so in your message. We will introduce you by email to someone who has travelled with the operator, ideally from the same country as you, and then stay out of the conversation. If we do not have anyone suitable to introduce, we will tell you that instead of stalling.
What people ask before booking
How quickly do you reply?
Within one working day, with a price. If your enquiry arrives on Saturday evening you will hear back on Monday.
Can I book by phone?
You can agree everything by phone, but the booking is only confirmed once you have the written itinerary and price and have replied to accept it. That is for your protection more than ours.
Do you use WhatsApp?
Yes, on the same number as the phone line. It is the fastest way to reach us and the easiest if you are already in Vietnam on a foreign SIM.
I am already in Hanoi and want to leave tomorrow. Possible?
Sometimes for the street food night, occasionally for Ha Long, rarely for Ha Giang. Call rather than email. The film package almost never works at that notice.
